Rare opportunity for a vet with an interest in exotics to join a state of the art hospital in the heart of Essex Are you an exotic vet keen to join an RCVS accredited 24 hour hospital in the heart of Essex.This state of the art practice has a highly skilled team of 14 vets including surgical and ophthalmology certificate holders. But due to high demand the team are keen to increase and develop their exotics department and are looking for skilled vets with an interest.
The right candidate will join an exceptional team where vets are currently undergoing their various certificate programmes including in cardiology and medicine. This client also has a very accomplished nursing team, many schedule 3 trained and lots with post graduate certificates (33) so our vets are well supported in their role. In addition to this, we also have 1 Hydrotherapist, 1 Physiotherapist and 12 Client Care Advisors.
The hospital itself is a state of the art purpose-built one which already includes a CT scanner and has recently expanded its services to enable them to offer MRI, Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy rehabilitation. In addition to a high standard of inpatient care, they also offer first opinion small animal services as well as outpatient services in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, CT imaging and laser therapy.
Due to growth, our client is looking for someone with experience in exotics who loves working in a thriving, vibrant, forward-thinking environment and aspires to high standards of clinical excellence.
Standard full time hours are worked over a 4-day week with 1 in 4 weekends; 40-hour rota.. They have a dedicated night team so no OOH.
The client actively supports their vets who are interested in obtaining specialist certificates with no cap to their CPD allowance as development is at the core of what they do. They offer a range of enhanced benefits such as subsidised private healthcare, discounts as well as various leadership CPD options. This client is also an accredited sponsor, able to issue certificates of sponsorship for tier 2 (general) visas for suitable vet applicants.
